WAYS WE HELP
The Focus of Our Efforts
We are very pleased to announce the Dan Jansen Foundation recently reached two milestones:
$1.2 Million (total, since 1994) have been donated to individuals, families and needy causes.
More than 1,200 families (total) affected by cancer have received financial assistance from the Dan Jansen Foundation Jane Jansen Beres
Family Aid Fund.
Dan Jansen Foundation Jane Jansen Beres Family Aid Fund
On February 14, 1988, the same day Dan was to race (and was favored to win) in the 500-meter race at the Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada, his sister Jane died from leukemia. Jane was 27 years old and the mother of three young children. Dan realized how special it was for Jane- and all the Jansen family- to be together during this most trying time. That's why he created the Dan Jansen Foundation Jane Jansen Beres Family Aid Fund to help needy patients and families affected by leukemia.

More than 1,200 families have benefited from the Family Aid Fund over the years. Support is provided primarily for non-medical needs to offset the cost for food, transportation, utility bills, rent, eic. Grants are awarded based on economic need, family situation and special circumstances. Assistance is available to all qualified patients and families.
Youth Sports & Other Needs
Youth sports programs, especially the sport of speedskating and athletes striving to achieve their Olympic dreams also benefit. Over the past 30 years funding from the Dan Jansen Foundation has benefited bone marrow registry drives, Super Sibs, World Team Sports, US Speedskating, MACC Fund, Cystic Fibrosis, Kids on Ice at the Pettit National Ice Center, and others.
